Fare Bistro
Brad Clark, Chef and owner of FARE BISTRO on Queen Street East, in the heart of Leslieville, has been happily engaged in the Hospitality Industry for the past sixteen years, with frequent trips
to France working alongside Michelin Star Chef "Christian
Etienne, in Avignon. He has also held the reins at some of the most noteworthy and prestigious kitchens in Toronto. One of
those is the well known and authentic French Bistro, "Le Select", where Brad was an Executive Chef.
Looking far and wide, he
was delighted to take the space he now occupies, where
Verveine once stood, and after a few months of extensive renovations a newly designed room opened its doors in mid May.
."My passion for preparing and cooking great food began at an early age. I love to cook for my family and friends... so I decided
to open a restaurant and I called it Fare Bistro."
Brad Clark , Chef
Fare Bistro is a reflection of things that the chef enjoys in his
daily life. Warm colours, and an inviting atmosphere, where
guests will want to linger. Tastefully designed and decorated,
our guests are welcomed by understated elegance and a
menu rooted in the French Tradition. An extentive list of wines

Joy Bistro, OverJoy and bSIDE
Joy Bistro has been offering up joy in its many forms – Bistro, OverJoy Lounge and the new bSIDE euro-patio – for eight years now. The first restaurant to bring culinary cache to Leslieville continues to sate patrons with contemporary cuisine, outstanding ambiance, attentive service and solid value.
Three unique patios – bSIDE, OverJoy and the original bistro patio facing the gardens of Jimmie Simpson Park – have made Joy the city’s premier summer destination. A rocking weekend brunch (including all holiday Mondays, Boxing Day & New Year’s Day) offers all array of eggs-meet-hollandaise as well as classic French Toast, housemade granola with seasonal fruit and much more.
Lunch and dinner is upscale bistro. Service is friendly and knowledgeable. Pastas are sultry, savory and homemade. Grilled chicken with pommes anna and hazelnuts is melt-in-the-mouth. Joy is one of the few places left who smokes its own meats – pulled pork, ribs, salmon and duck – and makes everything, including all its own sauces, from scratch. The results are dazzling. The wine list is a gem. Not overly large but laden with great taste at great value

LIL' BACI
LIL' BACI .... Authentic Italian pizzas and pastas ... Only local, organic, nitrate-free meats ... All sandwiches served on homemade bread.
"Lil’ Baci possesses a rustic European feel with ornate candelabras, comfy white chairs and a chalk board with daily specials. Near the large street-front window, a series of framed children’s drawings consist of -- what else -- pizza and other family dinner inspirations.
Think of the restaurant as an upscale version of your favourite pizzeria, where diners consist of yuppie parents and their toddlers, dates, and locals sitting solo at the front bar. And, all of them are munching on premium pizzas and ordering Southern Italian creations from pastas to carne to fish." Zack Medicoff , Toronto.com

Toast

Toast has that worn-around-the-edges, laid-back comfort that feels more like Montreal than Toronto: exposed brick, slightly dim, with toast shapes stencilled haphazardly in gold on a black coloured ceiling. '50s-style chairs and tables fill the room. Eat on art, some tables have canvases mounted on top that feature the work of local artists. A top a bank teller cage which serves as the bar is a collection of ancient toaster.
A brunch hot spot, Toast also features a lunch and dinner menu. Lunch combines our ever popular brunch items with a selection of fresh sandwiches and pastas. Dinner is a laid back elegance, with the room going upscale a notch featuring a menu that is a fusion of local and international cuisine. Nightly specials compliment the regular menu.
We invite you to drop by and enjoy our charm.

Velvet
Velvet ... located in the exciting film district in the heart of Leslieville.
Our restaurant has been a fixture in the Leslieville area since the 1960's. As the area has changed, so have we - through name and decor - to accommodate the taste and desires of the eclectic residents and merchants who live and work here. One thing that remains constant however, is the quality of food and service that our customers have come to expect. We serve the same delicious "home cooked" meals that people come back for time and time again.
We would love you to join us for a quiet drink at the bar, a friendly game of pool or a relaxed
delicious dinner.
